Geotechnical and Structural Instrumentation Systems

Geotechnical & Structural instrumentation and Monitoring Provides data that helps engineers in every stage of Construction project. Common Parameters are Ground Water Level, Pore-water pressure, surface and subsurface settlement and heave of ground, settlement and tilt of buildings, slope stability.

Advantages:
  • Design Verification
  • Safety of Surrounding
  • Fast construction can proceed without risk / failure
  • Construction Control
  • Legal Protection

Geosmart Live Real-Time Web-Based Monitoring System

Geosmart Live is our in-house Web based monitoring system able to monitor Infrastructure Projects from a web browser in near real time.

It helps in close monitoring of Construction control, understand Soil Behaviour & optimize Engineers needs, Generate Automated Alert System for contingency measures if required.

The system compiles all Relevant Information about construction Project Under one portal.

Soil Investigation

Soil investigation is to establish the geological stratification of the ground and its conditions to aid in the feasibility study, design, and construction methodology of proposed structures. Also, to establish the bearing capacity and type of foundations and ground water table variations, for safe and economic development.

Soil Improvement and Stabilization Works

When the natural soil does not meet the engineering requirements for a project, the Soil Improvement and stabilization works help to improve the characteristics of the soil through various proven ground improvement techniques such as TaM grouting, Fissure grouting, Jet grout piles(JGP), Wet Soil Mixing (WSM) PU grouting using cement or chemicals to improve the soil strength, minimize the seepage problems and decide on the relevant and economical foundation for any planned developments.

Recharge, Relief Wells and Pumping Wells

Recharge Well

It is the ground water control system that involves injecting groundwater into the ground to recover the ground water level table through established water supply system. It aids in controlling the ground subsidence and building settlements.

Relief Well

It serves the purpose of releasing the excess hydrostatic pressure beneath the excavation level to eliminate base heave in deep excavations.

Pumping Well & Pumping Tests

The pumping test is a statutory requirement to simulate the deep excavation and check the water tightness and seepage beneath the retaining system prior to start of actual excavation.

This is done pumping out ground water at a constant rate through installed Pumping wells inside the deep excavation area and monitor the stability of ground water table adjacent to excavations.

Drill & Blast Mining

Blasting is the process of cracking rock material by using a small amount of explosive substance so that the rock is destroyed into several pieces. Blast design and execution are important for successful rock removal operations in any tunneling/ deep underground projects.

NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method) is a tunnelling method for hard rocks excavation and mining with drill & split and or drill & blast techniques.

Shot-creting & Rock-bolting

Shot-creting is spraying of cement (dry or wet mix) onto a rock / hard surface with or without the base of wire mesh to improve stability of the surface. It is used to reinforce the structural rigidity of the rock formation that can carry the design loads.

Rock-bolting is the process of drilling and installing designed steel rods deep into a rock formation. Through rock-bolting, that ensures additional anchorage to transfer the weight of the load from the exterior of the rock surface to the inner formations of the rock.

Cross Passages & NATM Tunneling

Cross passage is a short tunnel that connects 2 parallel rail tunnels. These passages are an important safety feature that allow evacuation of people from one tunnel to the other in the event of an emergency.

Cross-Passages

Pre & Post Condition Survey and Damage Assessment for Buildings

This is intended to establish the condition, structural integrity and damage assessment of existing buildings and structures that are adjacent to any major construction activity before and after construction. It aids to resolve any legal disputes and insurance claims besides deciding on the contingency and retrofitting measures for the buildings.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control of Precast Tunnel Segments

Quality control and assurance form an integral part of precast production to ensure the quality and compliance with specifications and standards during fabrication, casting, curing, transportation, and delivery to designated projects.

Concrete Repair & Inspection

To develop repair strategies and specifications through concrete inspection/Investigations and repair concrete in a better holistic procedure.
